Not just art, but a piece of history. This is a fantastic flashback page where Sally doesn't want her daughter to read the all the sordid details in "Under The Hood" which she might figure out the secret of who is her real father. The fantastic 9 panel grid of these pages does fill up with a lot of story. From the establishing shots of a young Laurie training to be like her mother, then opening the door into her mother's world, Moore and Gibbons paint a sad picture of Laurie not knowing what she was being groomed into. This is only apparent to us when rereading the entire series and reflecting on these characters. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition.
John Higgins' color art for this page is also available in the auction.
