A 15% BUYER'S PREMIUM WILL BE ADDED TO THIS ITEM AT CONCLUSION OF THE AUCTION Murphy Anderson pencils and inks; cover; 1964; image size 12.5" x 18.5"Stunning twice-up 1963 Silver-Age Sci-Fi cover, penciled and inked by the great Murphy Anderson, from the classic story 'Mystery of the 12 O' Clock Man!' This cover features rocket scientist Benjamin Forbes who is clocked in for a strange adventure, in an attempt to figure out why he vanishes for one hour every Friday. The cover bears that wonderful clean-lined Anderson style, and his spot-on perspectives. The figures are on a separate board from the backing, all of the art is original aside from the rocket and radar in the first and third panel, they are statted from the second. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition.
The date and issue number are original stats, the title, price, and comics code stamp are recreations. The title at the bottom of the cover is hand lettered.
