Event Auction #42 was a terrific way to kick off ComicConnect’s 2020 auction season with an exclamation point. Our forty-second multi-million-dollar video game, original comic art, and comic auction closed last week with nearly 2,500 lots going under the hammer - and it was a doozy. Records fell, hundreds of new bidders joined placing thousands of bids, and the investment comic market proved that bidders are willing to go to the limit and beyond to boost their portfolios.
With rare pre-code horror, high grade keys, and long runs of popular titles, the most elite investment collectors in the hobby placed tens of thousands of bids in the millions of dollars. “I’m so grateful to our bidders who have come to rely on ComicConnect to offer the premier comics and collectibles auction in the world and to the consignors who place their trust in our team to get the most out of their collections at auction,” said Vincent Zurzolo, ComicConnect’s COO. “Thank you to everyone who participated in Event Auction #42. We set more than a few records this go around, and we can’t wait to see you all again soon.”
